1: Anyone who looks at this entry should post this meme and their current wallpaper at their LiveJournal.

This is an image of a Buddhist nun I took in Cambodia a few years ago. It is, I suppose, my favorite photograph. I love her serene smile.

If you look in the top right corner of my desktop, you will see a pdf of a pistachio gelato recipe. I can't make it because I can't find an essential ingredient. Send me a tube of Bronte Pistachio paste, and I'll send you a print of the nun photograph! :)

Oh FOR PEET'S SAKE. Bronte's Pistachio....

They have "Crema di pistachia de Bronte" at Zingerman's Deli in Ann Arbor Michigan. I know this because I stood next to it in line for a VERY long time last time I was there....and started thinking about the time that had passed while I was standing there, waiting....and wondered if Charlotte Brontë herself had packaged that creme and I'd just been waiting that long. I don't know a lick of Italian (I assume that's italian) and I started up a conversation with Steph about "Bronte herself made this...that's what that label says."

I actually called Zingerman's just now and the sweetest girl with Bronchitis says it's on backorder, but they expect it in August.

I'll keep an eye out at the Italian import stores here. There's supposed to be a really amazing one that I've been meaning to go to.

Hope it's OK that I answer .. zyz is in search of pistachio paste ;)

On your keyboard press "Print Screen" which snapshots whatever is on your screen, so make sure to close your browsers or you'll get a snap of your browsers open.. then copy-paste into a program like Paint Shop or Photoshop or something like that.. resize if needed and save as a jpeg.

or, if you have a mac, hit apple key+shift+4, and use the crosshair to delineate the area you want to capture.
