 fireworks

Awesome shot...

The one downside about shooting fireworks (as in making them go boom) is that there is rarely anyone around to shoot my fireworks (as in turning them into beautiful pictures).

you need to pair up with a photographer who wants to get shots from a vantage that no one else has. I would have loved to be there with the guys shooting them off.

she loved them--we were right underneath them, so there was also the loud booms and stuff, and she really got the whole experience.

she bought a hat with a flag on it to wear on the 4th.

She is interesting in her view of the US--she likes to read the paper in the morning and comment on how the US spends so much money meddling in other countries, but seems to be going broke at home. She asks me why, and I can't find a good answer.
