March 5--One after 909

We got up fairly early for a Sunday to get ready for our friends' wedding and to go pick up the coffee. We got to the place early--the wedding was in a clubhouse, so my friend Danny and I played a few games of pool. Our friend wanted to start the wedding at nine minutes past nine am, so that's when we started--it is some sort of Thai good luck number.

There were about 15 people there, and it turned out to be a lovely ceremony. In between officiating, I took some pictures. Everyone was taking pictures though. After the ceremony, we had cake and champagne, then went home to take a nap.

Jeff and Ting

The happy couple. Jeff is an airline pilot, so he wore his uniform.

After my nap I did homework, the baked a pineapple upside-down cake for Malida's pot luck tomorrow. This was a different recipe that I had never tried. It turned out ok, but took a little long to bake. It's also the first time I made a pineapple upside-down cake in a bundt pan. I won't get to taste it, so I will rely on Malida's report tomorrow evening.
