I went out exploring for a while this morning. It was a nice day, and not as hot as the day before. There is a storm coming in this weekend. We are going to Yosemite for the weekend, and will probably get rained on, but we don't care. We like the rain.
We are celebrating our other wedding anniversary--the legal one when we got married in the US after our Buddhist one in Thailand. We don't really celebrate this one, but coincidentally planned the trip. After we got married by the county clerk seven years ago, we went to the rose garden and took a picture, then headed up to Yosemite for a few days. So it's the 7th anniversary of Malida's first trip to Yosemite. We are staying at the same place we stayed her first time.
I ended up at the Wilton Post Office this morning. Wilton is a small rural town about 15 minutes southeast of here. There is a lovely little rose garden next to the post office, and there is a portal in the rose garden. I captured the portal and sat there for a while enjoying the environment.
I shared the space with a friendly rooster, who came up to see what I was about. We spoke for a few minutes about the affairs of the world, then he wandered off to eat some bugs.
Since I have a big homework assignment due this weekend, I will do it tomorrow so I don't have to do it in Yosemite. I have another one due Monday, but I can do that when I get back. I'll go in and deal with the office and all that on Tuesday.
