At some point I decided that I was just going to enjoy the day and not worry about all the pressures of school, and mostly that's what I did. We had our coffee as we listened to music, and did some light chores before heading out for a walk and lunch at the noodle place.
It was a lovely day out. It felt spring-like. Some of the trees are bare, and others have blossoms. Everything is green (and submarine). There were a lot of people out walking today, now that the path is once again accessible.
Malida points at the turtles sitting out in the sun. There were a lot, and a lot of ducks, geese, and other assorted birds. That Seattle hoodie is her favorite. We bought it when we were in Seattle a few years ago.
We had lunch at the noodle place. I took a picture of my noodles, but it looks like every other picture of Sunday noodles, so I left it out. They were, as usual, delicious. We did a little shopping after lunch and then came home and napped for a bit.
Both cats napped with Malida this time. Hard to predict where they will nap. They are inscrutable.
This evening I made a dinner of chicken breasts, roasted potatoes, and asparagus, which we ate as we watched the Academy Awards. I rarely watch tv anymore, and to watch almost 4 hours at a sitting is unusual. I enjoyed the show. I see the Academy Awards as a reflection of our culture, good and bad, and this year was no exception.
I did no work on my project today, and I will pay for it tomorrow, but I enjoyed the day.
Wednesday will be our 9th wedding anniversary. Sort of. We were married on February 29th, so it falls somewhere between the 28th and the first of March. Since the first of March in Thailand is the 28th here, that's when we celebrate it. Nine years--wow! I am glad she is my companion on this journey.
Two Pink Floyd references in this post. One that is better left unrecognized.
