I am glad, because it was a long, long day of listening to what could be boring stuff, but really wasn't. It is a blueprint for a big project we are undertaking at work, and it will be exciting to see it come to life.
Interestingly, I met one of my professors for an online class I took for my master's degree. I saw her name in the attendee list, and as I was walking past a couple of people, one of them said her name, and there she was. She told me she now does continuing education cruise thing. I guess it is classes on a cruise ship, which sounds pretty cool.
We got out of the program at 5, rested a bit, then headed down to B.B. King's blues club for dinner and some music. The food was good--better than expected, The house blues band was fantastic. They knew what they were doing.
After listening to music for a few hours, we wandered over to Cafe Du Monde for some beignets and hot chocolate. The place was packed, as always, but we got a table right away. If you go to New Orleans, you have to go to Cafe Du Monde. Last time I was here, it was closed up, along with everything else. Good to see people there again.
Another long day tomorrow, and then out into the craziness of St. Patrick's Day before heading home Saturday.
