We sat and listened to The Mansion of Fun radio show as we enjoyed our coffee. The Mansion of Fun is a three-hour music program on The Loft, the satellite radio station we like to listen to most of the time. It is hosted by David Johansen of the New York Dolls. You might also know him as the cab-driving Ghost of Christmas Past in the Bill Murray movie Scrooged. Anyway, he has a real gift for putting together a show. Listening to it is one of the highlights of my Sunday.
After our coffee, we went out and walked in the park for a while. Malida wore the new purple hoodie I brought back for her from New Orleans. She has a collection of hoodies from the places we (or me) have visited. I have coffee cups. It was a lovely day, though a bit cloudy. We are expecting rain later in the week.
In the afternoon I worked on homework and had a conference call with a handful of my classmates for a group project we are working on. I don't like group projects very much, but this is a pretty easy class, and I see no difficulties in getting it done. After homework I made some miso chicken with vegetables for dinner. It was pretty good, but not something I am going to put into regular rotation. I still haven't had my corned beef and cabbage for the year. Hopefully this week.
I have a busy week at work coming up, with a little bit of everything thrown into the mix. I am well-rested,. though and ready to do what needs to be done. Spring break is not to far off, and I can already see summer in the distance.
Taped to the wall of an awesome art gallery in New Orleans.
