I don't know that I accomplished much other than getting the laundry done, running the dishwasher, and cleaning off the left side of my desk. I really didn't have to accomplish much, though. It's my time to slow down and enjoy not having all sorts of deadlines for a while.
In the evening, I headed over to my friends Danny and Apinya's for dinner. Their niece Michelle and her boyfriend were supposed to be there, but their flight was late. I enjoyed dinner, then had to head out and pick Malida up and drop her off downtown for her company Christmas party. She doesn't like to drive downtown, so I was happy to take her. After I dropped her off, I went back to Danny's. Michelle and Alex had arrived, so I had some more dinner and we sat around chatting.
I was supposed to pick Malida up at about 9, but she said she was having too good a time, and would get a ride home with one of her coworkers. So I headed home and waited up like an anxious father. She got home about 11, somewhat plastered after trying tequila for the first time. She woke up this morning completely refreshed, and her cold symptoms gone. She explained that she thought the tequila killed all the bad bugs. Sounds reasonable to me.
Danny and the cats.
