I watched an interesting film on the plane--Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri. Kind of sad, but perfect for plane watching.
One of the Hello Kitty planes at the Hello Kitty Gate in Taiwan. It was a Hello Kitty tricked-out plane on New Years Eve way back when that introduced me to Hello Kitty and started this obsession. Going through Taiwan Airport is kind of a pilgrimage.
Probably the most interesting thing about the trip thus far was the safety video EVA Air shows before their flights. It has all the standard safety video stuff--exit rows, water landing, turn off electronic devices, etc, but the interesting part is that it is set to some strange surreal interpretive dance routine. I have never seen anything like it.
Dancing through the water landing.
I started this post two airports ago, and we are now in the old international airport in Bangkok, having met Malida's friends after we arrived at the "new" one, and drove about an hour through Bangkok to get here. This is our last flight for the day, and after the short 1 hour flight to Ubon, we will be a short taxi ride from home. I can't wait.
